Lazyman Triathlon


Take 31 days to complete 140.6 miles!

Most triathlons are completed in a day, we are giving you a month. 2.4 miles swim, 112 miles bike, and 26.2 miles run all to be completed within the month of October. Register here. Pick up a tracking sheet at the HPER Service Desk and check off the miles as you go. Once you complete the Lazyman, turn in your tracking sheet and receive a free t-shirt. Keep your body moving during the month of October and encourage others to do complete the triathlon with you. Please email if you have any questions.

Explore the biomechanics of complex animal robots to discover how real animals work! This exhibit reveals the magic of nature as a master engineer. Robot animals and hands-on activities illustrate fascinating real-life characteristics, such as how a chameleon changes colors and how a fly walks on the ceiling. Great for ages 4 to adult.

Come to a devotional with John Boswell, director of the "Light the World" campaign for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. John has a long history of working in marketing and sales for Walmart, Kraft Foods, and General Mills. Previously, he and his wife have presided over the Peru Lima East Mission.

Evenings for Educators: Sky Above Me, Earth Below Me-Photography Projects for Every Classroom


Come join our Evenings for Educators workshop and be inspired by photographic landscapes of the American west. The Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art's fall exhibitions feature a variety of landscape imagery, including David Maisel's surreal aerial photographs and Ansel Adam's full-toned nature prints. Participants will learn how to create their own cyanotypes and techniques for successful photo collage. The hands-on activities will allow participants to bring photography into the classroom in simple, budget-friendly ways.
