Panel Discussion/Presentation

Come out to our last Pizza & Politics of the semester! We welcome Cody Stewart, the Senior Vice President of National Environmental Strategies, a DC-based consulting firm that specializes in energy and natural resource policy. Prior to this position, Cody served as the staff director on the House Natural Resources Committee in Congress. We will be discussing why Congress really is broken, and why lobbying is important. Come join the discussion and enjoy free pizza!

Haiku Workshop

Workshop/Training

A Haiku workshop will be led by Ben Gunsberg, associate professor of English. Taking place at the Museum of Art, workshop participants will learn how to write haikus as they interpret artwork around the museum.

Showing of classic movie: 'In the Heat of the Night'

Special Event

This groundbreaking film starring Sidney Poitier marks the 50th anniversary of the first Civil Rights Revolution and African American History classes taught at USU.
Poitier and Rod Stegner were both nominated for Best Actor in this film, which was released just after the Civil Rights Act. It explores justice in a Southern town.
