Civics & Humanities for Non-Majors by Jeff Talbott

Arts/Entertainment

This adventurous new play dives into campus life in two different times (2016, days before the presidential election, and 1976) as two student-formed political action groups attempt to draft by-laws. Conflicts arise as they discover that defining a governing identity within any group requires more than patience; it may just require a miracle. With humor and crackling dialogue, the play tackles what may be today’s biggest question: Is it possible to find common ground when no one seems to be listening?

Music Therapy Muses Concert

Arts/Entertainment

The word "muse" describes a person or personified force who is a source of inspiration for a creative artist. This annual concert aims to highlight the creative identities of our music therapy students by providing a space for their musicality to be celebrated and a platform for the community to experience and understand more about the field of music therapy. Concert goers will enjoy original compositions in addition to contemporary and classical pieces that have been intentionally chosen to represent the experiences of our students and potential clinical applications of these works in music therapy practice. Additionally, attendees may have the opportunity to get involved first-hand with live music making as we invite each person's inner "muse" to take part in the experience.
